Service Announcements 

Our church is now OPEN for all regular services. We are still going to be streaming Sunday and Wednesday services live on our Facebook page until further notice as well as making the services available in audio form through our website and our Podbean app. You can find those here.

What Church Looks Like at NBC

We offer 3 different types of services at New Beginnings.

  1. School of the Spirit (Sundays @ 9:30a): This service is meant for the growing Christian. One who is born again and wanting to grow spiritually in their walk with the Lord. This service specifically teaches and demonstrates how to hear and operate with the Holy Spirit.

    • Typical service starts with announcements and welcome, followed by worship in singing. There will be a strong teaching on giving followed by receiving tithes and offerings. Message will include biblical teaching on operating with the Holy Spirit, followed by prayer and demonstrations. This service is typically 1.5 hours in length.

    • Nursery is available for children infant to Kindergarten.

  2. Main Service (Sundays @ 11:30a): This service is meant for the first-time visitors, and/or non-believers. Those who have not made Jesus their Lord or are new to New Beginnings Church.

    • Typical service starts with welcome and announcements, followed by a brief time of singing. Offering time and the message follow. Messages in this service are foundational in their teaching and includes an opportunity to receive Jesus. This service typical runs 1 hour or less.

    • Nursery for infants - Kindergarden available during this service as well as SuperKid Academy for grades 1st - 6th.

  3. Midweek Service (Wednesdays @ 7p): This services is for all ages, all levels of Christian maturity, and non-believers. It is a teaching of biblical principles.

    • Typical service starts with welcome and announcements, followed by worship in singing. There is a teaching time on giving along with an opportunity to give in tithes and offerings. Message will be primarily teaching on full gospel teachings.

    • No nursery or SuperKid Academy is currently available for this service.

  4. Fellowship (Sundays @11a - 11:30a): This is a time of fellowship of coffee, donuts, and juice. It takes place between the Sunday services in the fellowship area downstairs. Any and all are welcome to participate.

Weather Related Cancellations

Services at New Beginnings Effingham will not be cancelled due to impending inclement weather conditions unless extreme conditions warrant it. However, services may have a delayed start time on Sunday at 2 p.m. When this occurs, text messages will be sent to those that have added their phone numbers to the text system, a notice will be made via Facebook, Instagram, and local radio station: Xradio.

Extreme conditions could include but are not limited to: power outage, heat outage, extreme ice conditions, very large snowfall accumulations (12”+), blizzard conditions (blowing snow, low visibility), etc.

In the event a service is cancelled, an announcement will be made via our Facebook page, Instagram, and local radio stations.

Services at New Beginnings Clay City will not be cancelled unless the conditions above in addition to parking issues at the current location prohibit. Cancellation notifications will be sent via text message to those who have added their phone numbers to our text system and also a notice will appear on our Facebook page.

We want everyone safe, but believe our services are God-ordained and do not want to cancel unless absolutely necessary. That being said, we pray that you be prayerful, use caution, and be wise as you make your decision to attend our services.
