PASTOR JENNIFER RICE

Pastor Jennifer Rice co-pastors New Beginnings Church in Effingham IL alongside her husband, Pastor Earl Rice. After nearly 20 years in the corporate world, Jennifer was able to step into full-time ministry in 2017.

While most of her time is spent in an administrative capacity, Jennifer enjoys teaching the word and digging deeper into the revelation of the scriptures at the church several times a year.

In 2017, Jennifer started a blog called “A New Beginning” and continued for just over two years and while she is no longer writing it, it is still available on her website and through the church’s website. In 2020, Jennifer started doing daily video devotions and sharing them with subscribers online during Covid’s shutdowns. Also, she has taught a Bible Study at a local Adult Daycare twice a month for over nine years.

This is the eighth Called Me Higher Women’s Conference Jennifer has hosted at New Beginnings Church and this is the first time she will be ministering in it as a speaker.

Outside of ministry, Jennifer enjoys time with her two daughters and their families, including four grandchildren. She also, along with Earl, love to travel, taking several trips a year including trips to England in 2023 and 2025.

REV KIRSTEN ROBERTS

Kirsten Roberts lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, Joey, and their two sons, Everest and Oxford. She holds a doctorate in Physical Therapy and is a Master Pilates instructor with a rich background as a professional ballet dancer and teacher. Kirsten is a sought-after speaker and presenter in her fields of movement, wellness, and faith. 

Everything changed for Kirsten when she became a mom six years ago. Motherhood, she says, is her greatest calling and privilege. She believes her home—and her boys—are her most important ministry. 

Joey and Kirsten are traveling ministers, sharing the gospel together as a family whenever and wherever the Lord leads. 

Kirsten is a natural teacher and loves to dive deeper into the Greek and Hebrew of the Bible. 

She has recently completed her second children’s book called God’s Word for Little Lips and Hands. This book is born out of the deep value Kirsten and Joey place on God’s Word—and the joy they’ve found in teaching their sons to speak it aloud. They created this series to help other families do the same.
